An Intra-Company transfer allows applicants working in a multinational company to transfer to one of the company’s Canadian branches with an LMIA-exempt work visa as detailed by the International Mobility Program of Canada. Initially, an ICT license can be issued for three years.

It can then be extended to 5 years in the case of specialized knowledge holders and 7 years in the case of executives and senior managers.

• Applicant must be employed by a multinational company with a branch, subsidiary, affiliate, or parent company in Canada.

• Applicant must demonstrate continuous employment with the foreign affiliate for at least one year within three years.

• Selected positions in Canada should align with the managerial, executive, or specialized knowledge category as per the visa criteria.

• Applicants must apply for a work permit under the Intra-Company Transferee category through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) portal.

• Applicants must adhere to Canadian laws and regulations during their stay.

• Applicant must undergo health and security checks for the visa application process.
