CSR: SAFE Roads

At Safe Roads for Us, we believe that road safety is more than just numbers. As Joseph Stalin once said, “One death is a tragedy; one million is a statistic.” It’s high time we moved beyond the statistics and focused on the tragedies that impact families and communities every day. Our organization is dedicated to raising awareness about the real human cost of road accidents, advocating for stronger traffic regulations, and promoting responsible driving behaviors. We are committed to ensuring that each life lost or affected by road incidents is recognized and that we work together to create safer roads for all. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we aim to prevent the heartache of unnecessary loss and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.

Vision & Mission:

To create a world where every road is safe, every journey is secure, and no life is lost due to preventable accidents. We envision a society where road safety is a shared responsibility, and families are no longer torn apart by tragedies on the road.
● Raise Awareness: Educate the public on the importance of road safety and the impact of accidents on individuals, families, and
communities.
● Advocate for Change: Work towards stronger traffic regulations, improved infrastructure, and better enforcement of road safety laws.
● Promote Safe Driving: Encourage responsible driving behavior through campaigns, workshops, and community outreach.
● Support Affected Families: Offer resources and assistance to families impacted by road accidents, helping them rebuild and recover.
● Drive Collective Action: Foster partnerships with government bodies, organizations, and individuals to create a safer road environment for all.

Governance Engagement at Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Levels:

A key component of our mission is to involve and work alongside governance structures—executive, legislative, and judicial bodies—to ensure that road safety remains a priority at all levels of decision-making.

Global Road Safety Statistics (2024):

Global Road Traffic Deaths: Approximately 1.35 million people die each year due to road traffic accidents worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), equals approximately 42 deaths every minute.

● That’s 1 death every 1.4 seconds worldwide due to road traffic accidents.
● Injury Toll: Up to 50 million people are injured every year as a result of road traffic accidents.
● Road Safety in India: In India, around 5 lakh (500,000) accidents occurevery year. Out of these:
● 1.5 lakh (150,000) people die.
● About 3 lakh (300,000) people are injured or disabled

This means that 1130 accidents happen every day in India, and 3 people die every second due to road traffic accidents. These alarming figures underscore the urgency for global action to improve roadsafety and save lives.

Join us as we continue this journey for safer, more responsible driving. Together, we can make a difference.”
